Good causes deserve good websites even on the tiniest of budgets.

SMALL BUT MIGHTY

Every charity should have access to a website that tells their story, builds trust, and helps them reach the people they’re here to support. But I know that for some small charities, the budget just isn’t there yet.

That’s why I offer two pro bono website builds each year, completely free of charge to those really small charities struggling to stand out.

CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY:

Charities must be registered with the Charity Commission.

Charities must be UK-based and actively supporting women or children.

Annual earnings of the charity must be under £20,000.

Have been operating for more than 5 years

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Here's what you can expect:

Custom website design: I’ll work closely with you to understand your vision and craft a website that effectively communicates your mission and resonates with your target audience.

Up to 3 pages: I’ll build a website with up to 3 pages on WIX or Squarespace showcasing your organisations story, services, impact, and donation options.

Please note: Domain name registration and ongoing website hosting fees are not included in my pro bono services and are up to you to pay for and maintain.

I reserve the right to add a link to my website to the footer of your website and include your website in my portfolio or work.

Wonky website? No worries, just use a grid system to maintain consistency throughout your site allowing for plenty of white space to breath.

Did you know that individuals aged 65 to 74 had the highest monthly volunteering rate at 23%, while those aged 25 to 34 had the lowest at 11%. They aren't called the golden oldies for nothing.

It's always nice to get away from the desk. We spent a long weekend in Italy visiting old churches, old castles and eating waaaaaay too much pizza.

It's World Bee Day, so here's a photo of some bee's that I took at Hampton Court Palace. Have a bee-autiful Day 🐝

I’ve been working on a fundraising campaign for the incredible team at Abbie’s Army, who are doing everything they can to fight one of the most devastating childhood cancers – DIPG.

DIPG is a rare and aggressive brain cancer that mostly affects children aged just 6 or 7. Because of where it grows, deep in the PONS area of the brain — it’s inoperable. That means there’s currently no cure. Most children diagnosed with DIPG are given just 9 to 12 months to live. It’s as shit as it sounds.

Despite this, DIPG remains one of the most underfunded areas of cancer research. That’s why the work Abbie’s Army does is so vital.

If you can spare just £1 (or even £1 a month) it really does make a difference. Please donate if you can, and share this post to help spread the word.

It's International Day of Families, and I'm so greatful for my crazy family

I'm kind of like a information squiral, but rather than hoarding acorns, I collect annual reports, podcast transcripts, research articles and that one weirdly helpful Facebook post from 2017.

Is it chaotic? Yes.
Is it necessary? Also yes.
Is it all part of the process? Absolutely.

When my husband asks if my first day back after Easter is going to be busy:

Now back at my desk, fuelled by coffee and firing off emails like nobody's business. 💻☕🔥

I’ve been reading all news around the recent Supreme Court ruling effecting trans people and gender identity, and I can’t stay silent.

Reducing identity to two tick boxes doesn’t help anyone. It doesn’t reflect the reality of people’s lives. It doesn’t change the fact that trans people, inter-sexed and gender diverse people have always existed – and always will.

This ruling feels like a deliberate oversimplification of something deeply human and complex. And when you erase nuance, you endanger lives.

It’s okay not to have all the answers right now. But what’s not okay is pretending that complex identities can be legislated away with a checkbox. That’s not justice. That’s not protection for women. That’s not helping anyone.

To everyone directly affected by this: I see you. I stand with you. You deserve safety, dignity, and the right to exist fully as you are.
