Hi, I'm Katie
Fueled by glitter, coffee, and the unwavering belief that beautiful design can change the world.
I’m Katie Di Feliciantonio, the founder of Made by Katie. I’m a web designer with over 10 years of experience helping charities and not for profits build websites that don’t just look beautiful but also work hard to support their mission and connect with their audience.
Whether you’re a small charity just starting out or an established organisation looking for a website refresh, I’ve got you covered. Let's work together to create something beautiful.

I'M GOOD AT
"Thank goodness for Katie. She stepped in and made the whole process seamless - we started with a really thorough chat so she could get to know our organisation, and understand exactly what we were hoping to achieve through the new website. Katie just 'got' us!"

MY STORY
After the birth of my daughter, I realised that my old 9-5 office job wasn’t going to cut it anymore. Between juggling childcare, sleepless nights, and missing those precious moments with my little one, I knew I needed more flexibility in my career.
But here’s the thing, I didn’t want to step away from my passion for supporting charities. So, I took a leap and started Made by Katie, where I now get to combine my love for web design with my mission to help charities thrive online.

Why Charities Love Working with Me
I Get It: As a communications expert with years of charity experience, I understand the unique challenges you face. I know you’re busy, resource-strapped, and juggling a million things at once, but your online presence needs to shine. That's where I come in.
I Care: Your cause is close to my heart. I’m not just building websites; I’m building platforms that reflect your mission and help you reach your goals. I care deeply about the work you do, and I’m committed to helping you succeed.
Stress-Free Design: I keep the process simple, straightforward, and even fun (yes, really!). No need to stress over technical jargon or endless revisions. I’ll guide you from start to finish, leaving you to focus on what matters most: your mission.

When you work with me, you're not just getting a designer—you're gaining a dedicated partner who offering a personalised, stress-free process to create a website that is both beautiful and tailored to your charity's unique needs.
"If you can turn a dreaded task into one that was an absolute joy.…then you have an exceptional talent! That is Katie! Previous attempts to overhaul our content into a much more user-friendly, modern looking website without diluting the necessary information, had all failed dismally.

It can seem ‘too difficult’ and a monumental chore to tackle these things in a small charity, but the whole process set out for redesign was perfectly clear and totally manageable.

With complete understanding of the sector and using all her incredible experience and skill, Katie had clearly envisaged how the charity could look, even before we did."

WHY SMALL CHARITIES?
Why do I love working with small charities?... Small, well-run charities transform lives every day. They do work that has measurable impact, yet they struggle to compete for funding.

The largest 5% of charities in the UK receive 88% of the income. This isn’t just about redressing that imbalance. I believe that small charities, at their best, outperform their bigger rivals, mostly because they are ran by people who live and breathe their cause.
My mission is to provide beautiful websites that work hard for exceptional small charities.

My focus is small charities working with women and children.

SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL
Small charities are specialists, working in niece and underfunded fields – like DIPG research, maternal fatalities or Febrile Infection-Related Epilepsy Syndrome. Specialism means expertise. And because they’re small they can be agile, innovative and responsive to needs, without the bureaucracy and politics of larger organisations.

Small charities often work locally, so they understand the specific challenges faced. They’re better positioned to build relationships in the community and help those hardest to reach.

Just because they’re small doesn’t mean they don’t do work with real impact. And just because they are small, doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a website that works hard for them.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME (BECAUSE IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT WORK)
I’m a proud 90s child, which means I remember a time before the internet was even a thing. I also remember the iconic sound of a dial-up modem trying its best to connect.

When I'm not designing websites for charities, you’ll find me chasing after my energetic, bi-lingual 4-year-old, doing a little yoga, looking up at the moon, or taking a walk in the forest to clear my head. I’m a big reader and a history lover. I’m also that person Googling random facts in my spare time. Travel is also high on my list, especially trips to Disneyland with my wonderful husband.

I’m also a strong advocate for mental health and passionate about empowering people—especially those from underrepresented, or marginalized groups, like women and children. I believe in the power of knowledge and supporting efforts that help others grow, learn, and find their voice.

I believe in balance, and beauty and that life is for living.
