I’ve been reading all news around the recent Supreme Court ruling effecting trans people and gender identity, and I can’t stay silent.

Reducing identity to two tick boxes doesn’t help anyone. It doesn’t reflect the reality of people’s lives. It doesn’t change the fact that trans people, inter-sexed and gender diverse people have always existed – and always will.

This ruling feels like a deliberate oversimplification of something deeply human and complex. And when you erase nuance, you endanger lives.

It’s okay not to have all the answers right now. But what’s not okay is pretending that complex identities can be legislated away with a checkbox. That’s not justice. That’s not protection for women. That’s not helping anyone.

To everyone directly affected by this: I see you. I stand with you. You deserve safety, dignity, and the right to exist fully as you are.

As a small gesture of solidarity, I’m offering a pro bono website glow-up for a small to mid-sized charity that supports trans women’s rights. If that’s you — or you know a charity doing powerful work that could use some love and design support — drop me a message.
