Every 11 minutes, a woman is killed because of violence. This issue isn’t distant—it’s affected women I know and love. #NoExcuse

Violence against women takes many forms—physical, sexual, and psychological. It hides behind silence, shame, and stigma, but it is never justified. This can look like:

🔸 Domestic abuse
🔸 Sexual violence and harassment
🔸 Human trafficking
🔸 Female genital mutilation
🔸 Child marriage

If you’re experiencing any form of violence, please don’t face it alone. There’s help available. If you’re in immediate danger, call the police. Now. For support and advice, reach out to a trusted charity. And if you need someone to listen, talk to a friend. You deserve safety, respect, and support.

The average wait time for an NHS maternal mental health assessment is 6 weeks, and it’s 16 weeks to see a counselor through the maternal mental health team. That’s why Frome Birth Talk’s free counseling and support groups are so important. They’re providing essential mental health support for pregnant parents and families coping with baby loss. As someone who knows firsthand how crucial help is for postnatal depression, I can’t stress enough how vital their work is.
